Our team utilizes evidence-based chemotherapy/immunotherapy treatment plans and clinical practice guidelines for symptom management. In addition, the unit participates in clinical research to advance care and treatment options for oncology patients.     About the unit:  (Oncology experience preferred, but not required. This unit is willing to train if you have a strong interest in Cancer care.) - 18 bed unit, Medical Oncology patients, treat solid tumors for surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and end of life; Conduct research and is a part of clinical trial - Targeted Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3-4  8T South is a 2023 Silver Beacon Award for Critical & Acute Care Excellence Winner.
