This is a 21 bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit providing highly specialized medical care to patients with a wide-range of life threatening heart conditions including Congestive Heart Failure and Cardiogenic shock. Areas of expertise include airway management, hemodynamics, and left ventricular support devices.

7E is a 23-bed Medical Cardiac and research unit that admits complex medical patients and patients with cardiac issues, primarily heart failure.
- The cardiac patients are placed on telemetry and are monitored by the unit staff/remotely by highly trained telemetry techs.
- All nursing staff are skilled to identify heart rhythms and are given heart failure education.
- Every staff will complete a needs assessment survey once they are hired to evaluate learning needs followed by educational sessions as necessary.
- Every staff that are hired into the unit will also receive CITI training in preparation to caring for research patients.
Cardiac rhythm interpretation experience
This unit received PRISM (Premier Recognition in the Specialty of Med Surg) award (2023-2026).

10E is a 23-bed unit with an emphasis on care for patients with complex medical needs, Chronic Pain and diagnoses of medical issues such as Pneumonia, COPD, Heart Failure, Sickle Cell, Behavioral Health, Renal Failure, and Diabetes.
Unique opportunity to work on unit committees to improve quality outcomes. We also have a Unit Practice Council lead by frontline staff to promote positive change.

- We offer an exciting opportunity to work with a high acuity and diverse patient population that is comprised of, but not limited to, acute/chronic renal failure, endocrine dysfunction, pulmonary disease, infectious disease, gastrointestinal and liver disease, dermatology disorders, congestive heart failure, multi-system failure, malnutrition, geriatric patient disorders, and conditions requiring radioactive treatments.

Pay Rate depending on years of experience:
- Base Pay $32-$47 per hour
- This unit has a premium pay and differential pay for applicable hours
4G Cardiology is the first Step Down Unit in Georgia to receive a Gold Beacon award for providing excellence nursing care to patients. 4G Cardiology is a Cardiac/Telemetry 24-bed Intermediate / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) that provides nursing care to adult patients with cardiac conditions.
- Care is provided on a 24-hour basis to patients with diagnosis including heart failure, cardiomyopathy, acute coronary syndrome, dysrhythmias, valvar heart disease, congenital heart disease, and pre and post cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedural care.
- The RN skill level and nurse-patient ratio allows for frequent monitoring and assessment, and use of designated vasoactive and anti-arrhythmic medications in stable situations.
- The clinical services provided include telemetry monitoring, patient and family education, physical assessment, post procedure recovery, pre-procedure monitoring and preparation, oxygen therapy, blood administration, pain management, IV therapy, sheath removal, radial hemostasis band management, and medication administration.
- Remote telemetry monitoring is provided by nursing technicians to other areas of the hospital 24 hours a day via placement of telemetry.
