4400- Med-Tele/stroke  overview 4400 is the designated stroke unit at Emory Decatur Hospital. In addition we care for patients with other neurologic illnesses, low risk cardiac conditions, and patients with other medical conditions. Our nurses obtain their BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification to care for this population. We are a 24 bed unit. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. We have an active unit practice council. Applications will be accepted for the RN New Grad Residency Program from August 2023 through April 2024.    Here's How it Works: As residents, you will participate in the residency program while simultaneously completing your department orientation.
