4G Cardiology is the first Step Down Unit in Georgia to receive a Gold Beacon award for providing excellence nursing care to patients . 4G Cardiology is a Cardiac/Telemetry 24-bed Intermediate / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) that provides nursing care to adult patients with cardiac conditions.
- Care is provided on a 24-hour basis to patients with diagnosis including heart failure, cardiomyopathy, acute coronary syndrome, dysrhythmias, valvar heart disease, congenital heart disease, and pre and post cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedural care.
- The RN skill level and nurse-patient ratio allows for frequent monitoring and assessment, and use of designated vasoactive and anti-arrhythmic medications in stable situations.
- The clinical services provided include telemetry monitoring, patient and family education, physical assessment, post procedure recovery, pre-procedure monitoring and preparation, oxygen therapy, blood administration, pain management, IV therapy, sheath removal, radial hemostasis band management, and medication administration.
- Remote telemetry monitoring is provided by nursing technicians to other areas of the hospital 24 hours a day via placement of telemetry.
10E is a 23-bed unit with an emphasis on care for patients with complex medical needs, Chronic Pain and diagnoses of medical issues such as Pneumonia, COPD, Heart Failure, Sickle Cell, Behavioral Health, Renal Failure, and Diabetes.
Unique opportunity to work on unit committees to improve quality outcomes. We also have a Unit Practice Council lead by frontline staff to promote positive change.

We’re looking for passionate nurses who are ready to join a team that’s redefining quality nursing care. As integral members of high-functioning, inter-professional teams, Emory Healthcare’s nursing teams are on the frontline of care in our hospitals and operate with a full complement of specialties and the ability to care for medically complex patients.
6E is a 24-bed Cardiovascular Surgical Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit that provides comprehensive health care to adults with cardiovascular illness. Diagnoses and procedures include but are not limited to coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), heart transplantation, heart valve repair or replacement, thoracic aneurysm repair, congenital heart defect repair, and ventricular assist devices (LVAD). The patient population also includes cardiology patients with ICD's, pacemakers, CHF, pre-PTCA, pre or post-cardiac catheterization, EP studies, and CAD. In addition, 6E assists in managing care for patients with non-cardiac diagnoses who need cardiac telemetry monitoring secondary to new-onset cardiac dysrhythmias or patients with worsening cardiac symptoms.
6E is a twenty-four bed primary telemetry unit assisted with telemetry monitoring from a remote location. This unit is proud to be part of a Magnet-recognized hospital, helping define a new standard of care for patients. 6E was recognized in Emory's 2023 re-designation as a Magnet Exemplar for supporting nurses' participation in interprofessional collaborative practices for daily in-person Interdisciplinary Rounds with the physician, social work, occupational/physical therapy, and nutrition.
The nursing staff must complete an orientation program with competency assessments and recertification conducted annually or as needed. Registered nurses provide nursing care with a nurse/patient ratio of 1:4. Patient care assistants provide assistive care with a patient ratio of 1:8. The nursing staff is required to maintain BLS and ACLS certification.

RN must meet the following requirements:
- Two years of recent (within the past five years) Registered Nursing experience.
- Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education program.
- Must achieve certification in Wound Care and Ostomy Care within 12 months.
- Certification in Continence Care is not required, but preferred.
- Previous experience in Wound and Ostomy care preferred.

Emory University Hospital is a 23 bed Surgical- Transplant Intensive Care Unit that offers an opportunity to work with a high acuity and diverse patient population.
The RN Nurses that serves in this role are required to be a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of care givers who ensure patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. Clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and supported through the Emory Shared Governance Model. RN Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards by the American Nurses Association.

Emory University Hospital Midtown is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our 12-bed Cardiovascular Thoracic Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) that offers an opportunity to be a part of the progression of care of patients from critically ill, post-operative surgical patients to up in the chair the morning after surgery (i.e. CABG, Valves, Aortic Dissection, TAVR,, Trans hiatal Esphogectomy) . Technology including but not limited to Intra-aortic balloon pump, ECMO, CRRT, & Impella.
