3 west: 22 bed Cardiology Med-Surg unit: cardiac interventional population, TAVRs, Mitral Clips, Ablations, Caths, Stemi/Nstemi patients, overflow for cardiac surgery, high volume of infusion drips, sheath and groin management.

This 22-bed unit cares for a high concentration of post-op surgical patients, including surgical oncology. In addition, this team supports patients with complex comorbidities, including heart failure.

8E Pulmonary/Thoracic/Vascular Surgery
- The only Lung Transplant Center in the state of Georgia
- The only unit with staff trained to care for Adult Pulmonary Hypertension and Lung Transplant patients
- Staff are trained to provide care to patients who have complex pulmonary, thoracic and vascular surgery needs
- Staff also trained to provide care to Vascular Surgery patients who require life-saving revascularization procedures
- One of the hospital’s highest performers in patient satisfaction
- RN Ratio 1:4 (1:3 New Lung Transplant)
- NT/PCA 1:8
- 24 bed unit at Emory University Hospital
- APP coverage available on unit during day and coverage available on nights
- Interdisciplinary Team of staff continuously collaborates to provide exceptional care to patients
Unit Overview
- 6G is a well-established 24 beds Medical unit which treats patients with layered and complex medical needs, including autoimmune cases, thyroid cancer, renal, sepsis, and cystic fibrosis.
- Best training environment with a one of high case mix index. 6G is 1 of 2 units to care for adult cystic fibrosis patients with telemetry available.
- Our nurses also perform light chemo, radiations, and peritoneal dialysis.
- This unique medical unit has a large 'teaching' presence with both medical, nursing, and pharmacy students. We follow a Care zone model for nursing assignments.

Wesley Woods is a 42 bed inpatient psych facility divided into two units. Unit A has psychiatric patients that are acutely ill such as schizophrenia and Bipolar disorders. Unit B has patients that have mood disorders such as depression and anxiety. The nurse patient ratio is 1:6.

Internal Medicine is a 22 bed Unit. There is a broad and comprehensive spectrum of illnesses that are acute and chronic care.

Candidate type: Open to interviewing all nurses with Acute or sub-acute/rehab experience. Please do not send any case management nurses. Prefer hospital inpatient experience. This unit is closer to a progressive complex care unit. The patient population is extremely sick so nurses with more direct med surg/acute care, step-down experience do a lot better on the unit.
