About the unit: (Oncology experience preferred, but not required. This unit is willing to train if you have a strong interest in Cancer care.)
- 48 bed inpatient acute care area, population focus is post-operative Oncology surgeries to include gastric, colon, liver, breast, pancreas, kidney, bladder, prostate, GYN cancers, limited post-operative GYN surgeries associated with incontinence.

4400- Med-Tele/stroke overview
4400 is the designated stroke unit at Emory Decatur Hospital. In addition we care for patients with other neurologic illnesses, low risk cardiac conditions, and patients with other medical conditions. Our nurses obtain their BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification to care for this population. We are a 24 bed unit. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. We have an active unit practice council. A Unit Nurse educator and an Education Coordinator are all available for assistance as needed.

Do you want to be a part of a nationally acclaimed cardiac program? Do you want to thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment? Then 6E, a cardiovascular surgical unit, is the place for you! On 6E you will be working with chest tubes, surgical wounds, hanging blood, anti-arrhythmic drugs, inotropes, pacing wires, trachs and LVADs.
- Number of beds: 24
- Patient Population/Typical Diagnoses: heart transplantation, coronary bypass grafts (CABGs), valve repairs or replacement, thoracic aneurysm repair, congenital heart defect repair, and ventricular assist devices (VADs).
- Targeted Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3-4

We are a fast-paced 28 bed Orthopedic and Spine unit where patients receive expert care by a compassionate Magnet award winning nursing team. :). Spine fusions, laminectomy, tumor excisions, fractures, and even infections just to name a few. We focus on post -operative ambulation and patient discharge education.
