JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, this position provides staff leadership for day-to-day unit operations in a long-term care unit and/or a skilled care unit of a Long Term Care facility, supervising a staff of LPNS and CNAs. The ADON is responsible for providing administrative direction and control of the skilled care and long-term care unit of the facility, managing the nursing personnel, coordinating resident or patient care, and participating in appropriate assignments and projects. This position will fill in for staff and directly provide nursing services as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing. BSN degree preferred. Current RN license in the State of Georgia. Minimum of 5 years experience in nursing, long term care .or skilled care facility with 2 years as a supervisor. Knowledge of state and federal regulations that govern long term care. BLS, ACLS, and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
