  • Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION: Reports directly to the VP and CNO of Ambulatory Patient Services and Physician Section Head and indirectly to the Section Clinical Administrator. Member of the EHC Nurse Executive Team and collaborates with hospital colleagues to improve transitions of care and standardization of care delivery across the continuum. Plans, directs, manages, and coordinates all clinical practice activities for the department across the ambulatory and designated staff practicing in acute care areas. Develops and implements strategic goals and objectives to maintain high quality patient care delivery. Works collaboratively with Dept. Physician leaders and administrative leaders to ensure the department is consistent and compliant with professional standards, regulatory guidelines, and policies and procedures.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, or Physician Assistant program. A master's degree in Nursing or related field. Seven years of registered nursing, APRN or PA experience of which three years are in a managerial role.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1-10 lbs 0-33% of the work day (occasionally), negligible 34-66% of the workday (frequently), negligible 67-100% of the workday (constantly). Lifting 10 lbs max, carrying of small articles such as dockets, ledgers, files, small tools, occasional standing & walking, frequent sitting, close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

    ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure, Bio-hazardous waste. chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, communicable diseases, electrical shock, floor surfaces, hot/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor conditions, latex, lighting patient care/handling injuries, radiation, shift work, travel may be required, use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

    Senior Nursing leader position in the Department of Radiology.  This position responsible for nursing practice and clinical oversight for ambulatory radiology nursing/clinical staff across the outpatient areas.
