Description

We are seeking a capable Assistant Director of Enterprise Staffing (ADES) who serves on the Enterprise Staffing Pool (ESP) management team and works directly with staffing supervisors & nursing leadership at one or more Emory Healthcare (EHC) entities (the primary customer). Is responsible for all ESP support for their assigned entities by providing efficient, effective, on-time and high-quality ESP personnel resources. Under general direction of the ESP Corporate Director, functions as the staff leader for all day-to-day ESP staffing support operations for assigned entity

 

  • Successfully align yourself with entity leadership and become fully engaged in the staffing decisions for the entity to ensure staffing needs are fully met to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Assist in preparation of entity staffing plan to help always ensure adequate staff coverage
  • Establish/maintain excellent business partnership with key decision makers for assigned location(s) to ensure there is frequent communications about staffing and how ESP can fill staffing needs.
  • Plan, formulate and coordinate overall program to ensure excellent customer satisfaction for all lines of business; develop improvement programs based on identified customer's staffing needs; provide recommendations for staffing, proactive recruitment and long-term needs; report regularly at management meetings and review staffing progress, fill-rates, cancellation-rates, etc.
  • Recommend and support development of staff to ensure continual improvement in clinical, educational and organizational performance.
  • Ensures safe care for patients, staff and visitors. Ensure ESP department activities and personnel are in compliance with all policies, laws and regulations at time of hire and on-going as required; including but not limited to: certifications/credentials (CPR, BLS, ACLS, CMA, LPN, RN, etc), HIPAA/Privacy, flu vaccine/health assessments, safety training, performance reviews, etc. Ensures full compliance and adherence with EHC policies and practices as well as federal, state and local regulations, the Joint Commission, etc.
  • Direct all aspects of staffing support ensure the provision of optimum staffing resources (people resources) for assigned entities; provide leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, practices, strategies, and services for the ESP department and for the staffing services provided to assigned entities
  • Identify measurable objectives and monitor progress toward the achievement of specified goals in keeping with operational standards.
  • This position may fill in for nursing staff and directly provide nursing services/supervision as needed.
  • Perform other related duties/responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Five years of experience, which includes three years of clinical nursing and 2 years of nursing leadership.
  • Must have current licensure as a Registered Nurse or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. BLS certification required. ACLS may be required in some areas.
  • Additionally, highly preferred 2 years’ experience in staffing/recruiting in a hospital, healthcare, corporate or staffing agency environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in nursing, Business, or Human Resources.
  • 2 years’ experience in staffing/recruiting in a hospital, healthcare, corporate or staffing agency environment.
