RN opportunities within Emory Clinics (Ambulatory and Specialty Practices)
The Registered Nurse Clinician is an experienced nurse who delivers safe, effective, and personalized care to patients using the AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care. Clinicians act as patient advocates, team collaborators, and leaders in practice improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering independent, evidence-based patient care.
Creating and adjusting individualized care plans with patient/family input.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and stepping into leadership roles when assigned.
Supporting quality improvement and engaging in ongoing professional development.
Education / Experience
BSN graduates: Completion of an accredited program plus 12 months of recent RN experience (within 5 years) OR successful completion of a re-entry nursing program.
ADN graduates: Completion of an accredited program plus 2 years of recent RN experience (within 5 years).
Exceptions for Current EHC LPNs
LPNs within Emory Healthcare who complete an accredited RN program and obtain licensure may transition into this role while completing the RN Resident Program.
LPNs enrolled in an Emory ADN program as of March 30, 2025 must commit to completing a BSN within two years of entering the RN Clinician role.
Licensure & Certifications
Valid, unencumbered RN license approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
BLS certification (required).
ACLS and/or specialty certifications may be required depending on department.
