Join our team today! At Emory University Hospital Midtown, our Pre-Op unit is situated on two levels, the lobby and second floor function as a unified department across the two floors. We provide preparation for successful surgical intervention by processing all scheduled surgical patients. Our Pre-Op nurses work closely with the Anesthesiologist and Surgeons to ensure all necessary elements are in place and within defined limits for patients to proceed into surgery. The Pre-Op nurses educate patients on postoperative expectations and provide follow-up care via telehealth for those discharged the same day in addition to managing home discharges.

We handle Pre-Op care for a variety of patients:  General, GYN, Urology, Bariatrics, Robotics, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Podiatry, ENT, Skull Base, OMFS, and Plastics. There is an orientation period of 4 to 6 weeks provided.
