7am - 7:30pm/ Full Time/ 36 Hours 

  

We're seeking a Unit Charge Nurse, Med/Surg Department responsible for being a capable clinician who has acquired broad experience in caring for patients and has developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular patient population and routinely uses acquired knowledge, theory, research and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations. This RN professional can apply the Synergy Model for Care in practice and use this knowledge to personalize care for each patient/family while serving as a resource to colleagues and strong advocate for them. This individual:

    

 

 

  • Demonstrates broad clinical experience, applying knowledge, theory, and research to adapt to changing patient care needs.
    Uses the Synergy Model for Care to personalize care for each patient and family, ensuring effective outcomes.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues and a strong advocate for patients and families.
  • Communicates effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
  • Delivers safe, dependable care independently, utilizing the nursing process and demonstrating strong assessment skills.
  • Plans and implements patient care, incorporating patient/family input, and adjusts care plans as needed based on evaluations.
  • Delegates appropriately using the Synergy model, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and family care partners in care planning.
  • Functions in a developing leadership role, including serving as Charge Nurse and orienting staff/students as needed.
  • Manages resources responsibly with a focus on cost containment, and utilizes effective conflict resolution and communication skills.
  • Participates in professional development, contributes to unit improvement, and meets Clinical Nurse I commitments and education requirements.

 

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Two years experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.
  • Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. Certification preferred. BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
  • If promoted internally or hired externally, the incumbent must complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of formal preceptor training workshop and enrollment in LEAP course.
