Description

 

Shift:                PRN Position (48 hours month required) 12-hour shifts- 7am- 7pm and 7pm – 7am,

weekend shift varies

 

Location:          Travel between four (4) and 10 Emory locations within Emory Healthcare Locations

Salary:             $27.25

 

Our internal travel nursing team can be a flexible program, allowing team members the ability to tailor work/life balance to fit their lifestyle. 

 

We are seeking a capable Emergency Room Float Tech who Performs a variety of clinical tasks to better facilitate patient care by directly assisting nursing and physician staff.

  • IV insertion and placement of a foley catheter.
  • Performs and documents vital signs, notifies triage nurse or physician on duty possibly critical patients, communicates as appropriate to waiting room patients.
  • Conducts needs analysis to determine need for supplies based on ED volume.
  • Monitors stock and supplies to ensure par levels are maintained.
  • Ensures that physician orders are accurately entered into the computer.
  • Answers phones and direct inquiries as appropriate. Performs other duties as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited EMT or Paramedic training program.
  • 2 1/2 years of related experience.
  • Previous ED experience preferred.
  • Must have current certification as an EMT-I or Paramedic, AHA CPR, and AHA ACLS if Paramedic.
