Overview

The Urology NP/PA Fellowship Program is a one-year program that prepares fellows to become highly skilled in the multidisciplinary, collaborative and evidence-based management of complex and challenging patients in Urology. The Fellowship Program's innovative curriculum covers the entire spectrum of the specialty area. Fellows will have exposure to the care of Urology patients with rotations that will allow them to cultivate specialized and thorough knowledge.

Step One-

Both steps must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 1st, 2024 to be considered.


Required documents must be uploaded to complete the application process:

  • Statement of Intent: One-page statement describing career goals and reasons for pursing the fellowship. Include future career plans and how they might be enhanced by additional training in the fellowship.
  • Curriculum Vitae: educational background, professional experience, volunteer experience and other relevant information
  • Three Professional Evaluations (including one from APP Program faculty)
  • Official Transcripts

Description

 

APP fellows will rotate through a variety of settings: outpatient clinics, surgery and inpatient service. Rotation sites are Emory University Hospital, The Emory Clinic, Winship Cancer Institute, Emory Midtown Hospital, Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Rotations include both clinical and didactic components. Successful completion of this 12-month full-time program leads to a fellowship certificate from Emory University School of Medicine and the Department of Urology.



Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited PA or NP Master's program prior to the start of the Fellowship program.
  • National board certification as a PA or NP. Eligible for licensure as a PA or NP in Georgia.
  • Eligible for DEA license.
  • BLS, and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
  • ACLS may be required in some areas
  • Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP) for inpatient roles within Emory Healthcare
