Description

Emory Midtown Radiology is seeking experienced ICU or ED Registered Nurses (RN), who are interested in Procedural Nursing. If that’s you, come and join our Interventional Radiology Team. You will have the opportunity to learn Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, Pre and Post Care, and other areas of Radiology that we service. We are an Outpatient and Inpatient area servicing mostly cancer patients. Our state of the art Imaging technology and minimally invasive techniques help our patients recover faster with less pain and fewer risks than traditional surgery.

 

We're seeking a Procedural Intervention Shift Nurse Manager (Registered Nurse / RN) responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the daily operations of a specific shift on a clinical unit. This individual:

  • Supervises staff and facilitates communication with physicians and internal administrators to provide optimal patient and family-centered care.
  • Is recognized as a change agent and routinely leads efforts to strengthen organizational systems that support the mission, vision, and values of the department. 
  • Demonstrates insight, judgment, and clinically sound risk-taking.
  • Role models expert communication skills to colleagues through example.
  • Demonstrates foresight regarding the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes based on intuition and experience.
  • Is recognized as an expert clinician and a leader within their area of specialty. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Two years experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.
  • Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
  • Certification preferred.
  • BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
  • If promoted internally or hired externally, the incumbent must complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of formal preceptor training workshop and enrollment in LEAP course.
