Description

RN:

 

  • Acute Care Med/Surg (Ortho, Complex Med Surg, Neuro, Internal Med, Pulomary Thoracic, GI, Bariatrics, Oncology, Interventional Cardiology, Heart Failure, CV Stepdown)
  • Emergency Department

 

MINIMUNM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
  • Exceptions: Individuals currently employed as a LPN within the EHC system at the time of completion of an accredited RN program and becoming licensed as a RN will be considered eligible to move to the Nurse Clinician title while matriculating through the Resident program.

 

New Grad RN (Summer and Fall Graduates):

 

  • Acute Care Med/Surg (GI, Bariatrics, Neuro Vascular, Ortho, Internal Med, Oncology, Complex Med Surg, CV Stepdown, Interventional Cardiology, Heart Failure, Pulmonary Thoracic, Renal/Urology)
  • Emergency Services
  • Clinical Decision Unit
  • Operating Room
  • CVOR

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited prelicensure nursing program.
  • All candidates must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia and have less than 12 months experience within the past five years.
  • BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
  • Eligible Participant-Entry-level nurses who have graduated from an accredited prelicensure nursing program.
  • Entry-level nurses serving in their first nursing role are required to participate in the NRP.
  • Entry-level nurses who are not in their first nursing role may participate in the program at the discretion of the NRP leadership team. However, no longer than 12 months shall elapse from the time of graduation from the prelicensure nursing program to admission into the residency program.
  • Consideration will be given to factors such as personal or family commitments and military deployment when considering exceptions to this 12-month timeframe.
